Twoard the far end of the pack's territory lies a swamp, where the waters of Diamond River leads into it providing a constant source of water. Trees dead, dying or barely hanging on live within this labyrinth of moss, water, and reeds.
This quagmire is teaming with life, snakes, moose, beaver, and other aquatic animals call this place home. Pack wolves rarely navigate this area for it is a dangerous cacophony of sink holes, muck, deep water, and quick sand. Rayen and the other high rankings wolves as well as the Ambers are trained to know every inch of this swamp and how to navigate it.
Prey to be found here Snakes, frogs, lizards, turtles, racoons, moose, various water fowl and sometimes elk.
Predators Snakes, what ever lurks in the deep waters.

Like a shadow Willow moved silently through the dead wasteland. Her silvery-white pelt made her look unatural against the rest of the swamp. Unlike the fisrt time she was in the Upper Clives, where she was very clumsy, here she moved with ease. Now she trotted along, keeping one eye on the look out for a swamp trap, like quicksand, deep mud, or sink holes. She spread her toes apart, as if she was walking on snow, to balance herself on the loose earth. Most wolves and other heavy predators usally stay out of swamps, there were plenty dangers here, but Willow knew how to navigate through these slops. This was also a good place to run to if she were being chased by a larger predator, with plenty of places to hide and traps that you could lead the animal your chasing or being chased.
Anyway back to willow, (I kinda describe too much I know) Willow stopped exploring to try to crunch on another animal besides the fish she ate earlier. Except this animal proved to be a lot more difficult then catching a fish. Willow tried to crunch a turtle, but since the little thing kept poping back in it's shell everytime she came near it, Willow soon gave up in frustration. She went back to memorizing the places of the swamp. She kept track of everything here, from dead trees to quicksand. Once Willow caught the scent of a racoon, she tracked it down silently until she found it. She readied herself to ponce when suddenly the ground began to shake. "An earthquake?" Willow thought. Willow jumped away and turned back and saw the racoon disappear before her eyes. "A sink hole!" She exclaimed. The once firmer ground around the racoon, where Willow was once standing began to cave in. Willow fastly ran away from the devistation, until she was sure she was safe. She turned around to find a large crater now in place of some of the swamp, almost 20 wolf lenghts across. Willow panted and gave a sigh of relief, almost being a victim of of the swamp's rage. She shook her muddy fur and raised her muzzle to let out a howl. Willow wanted to tell Rayen and the other wolves that a gigantic sinkhole has formed where some of the swamp was before. Willow then turned and headed upstream.

Celeste had trotted her way to Willow as she easily followed her scent near by. Celeste went up to Willow and stared and smiled lightly. Celeste wagged her tail as she could now be herself in front of Willow. Celeste suddenly fell on her side and yawned as she exposed her four white canines. Celeste licked her snout and said playfully, "My fellow pack mate...What are you doing here alone? Well any ways, I came to check on you." Celeste said kindly to her. Celeste remained on her side as Willow was a few feet away. Celeste sat up and she noticed her coat was covered in mud and even small animal droppings. Celeste crinkled up her nose in disgust and a repulsive smell filled the air. Celeste soon asked eagerly, "Willow...do you mind if you come with me to Diamond River? I got uhh...'things on my fur. Its quite disgusting so I'd advise you to keep a few feet away.." Celeste chuckled lightly and hurried her way to Diamond Falls..

Willow panted happy at Celeste's invitation. "Sure Celeste I would love to come!" She was board of just wandering around the swamplands anyway. She ignored Celeste's obvious disgust of her fur and followed Celeste. "She would look like a wreck too if she had been tracking animals in mud," Willow thought. Willow jumped after Celeste and caught up to her. She ran her way, with her tail flying out like a flag behind her, up the river.

The soft ground oozed dirty water with each step the female took, as they carried her elegant frame deeper into the swampland. Her black tail swaying behind as she confidently lead the way, weaving and turning as she navigated the seemingly open and solid ground. Knowing that beneath the thin surface of the grass and reeds lay a mess of sink holes and quicksand. Ears angling backward the wolf called over her shoulder, "We do not come to the Swamps often, there are many unforeseen danger lurking bellow the surface of the waters and underneath the grass. But there is a plentiful amount of fish, fowl, and other prey that can provide an abundant meal that is open for the taking once you have learned to understand and navigate this land safely."

"Oh..."she said. The mud oozed and made bubbles as they lurked deeper into the swamp. Snowflower's white paws turned brown.

Rayen paused, having traveled a good distance into the swamp she turned to take in Snowflower. "The land here is feed by the Diamond River, we will travel up it to the falls next then go from there." With that she made her way out of the Swampland pausing to point at the vast expanse of plain seen near by. "Over there is the Buffalo Planes, many grazing animals come there to eat and breed there is usual some herd or another there"

"Ah, ok."she said. She padded through the swampy area and followed Rayen to the Diamond river.
