River grunted softly to herself, her lime green eyes narrowed out of curiosity. "Pleasure, Rayen. I'm a nomad, pioneer, loner; whatever term you go by." She nodded quietly and her tassel swayed slowly as she spoke. The she-wolf allowed her eyes to land upon someone nearby who asked her name. River didn't speak since the question was directed to Rayen. She just blinked and watched the two, feeling like a bug under a microscope. The yearling shifted her weight to her other side and waited patiently.

"The term does not matter, which ever one prefers to use is their own business," She said, dismissing it with a flick of her tail, " What I care about you're intentions, trespassing is never a light subject to a pack; keep in mind your answer detremines whether I let you remain in our land or I chase your away. " her magma colored eyes strayed from River when Misty came to her inquire as to the identity of the new comer. "This, is River." She said, her voice softening, "A nomad; a traveling lone wolf."

Hazel heard the female chuckle, turning to face her but keeping her head down, as she didn't want them to see her almost white, lifeless eyes. She replied " Hello, I'm Hazel" her voice calm and unfazed by the pressence of the other wolves, yet polite and submissive, as this wolf was the leader of the pack and she wanted to make a good impression.

At the mild threat Akindo's hackles raised into spikes along the nape of her neck just a bit, and her claws drew shallow gouges in the soft mud. She didn't sense any aggression coming off of the stranger but she could taste a whiff of tension in the air surrounding her leader with the two unrecognizable wolves that had entered their territory. She wasn't a Diamond yet she knew, so typically the duties of a warrior were not yet hers. Still, she was already accustomed to it, blood pulsing energy through her being as unfamiliar scents crowded her nostrils. But she wouldn't act, and it was not her job. Akindo sat down instead, trying to forget about the awkwardness that had come to rest upon the place, any action would have to await her leader's orders.

Sensing an awkward atmosphere hazel twiched, she hated these moments. She turned her face to the side slightly so she could just make out the shape of a sitting wolf, she smiled in a friendly way for the lack of anything else to do, she really wanted no trouble.

Rayen watched Akindo out of the corer of her eye, quietly pleased that she had such control over her fiery spirit she would make a good Diamond. Unpredurbed by the awkward feeling in the air Rayen remained calm and unreadible as she spoke, "Greatings, Hazel if you had not heard me earlier I am Rayen leader of the Dancing Stones Pack." She flicked hertail gesturing all around them, "Might I inquire as to why you are without our borders?" As she spoke she had placed a paw infront of Misty, more to keep her from running of then to protect her. These wolves gave no sign that they wished the attack, but she learned that it was better safe then sorry.

"I am a lone wolf" said Hazel, realising she was quite ashamed of the fact "looking for a home" glad that she had just cut to the chase. She lifed her head a little, so the other wolves could just see her eyes, hoping to get the question over with quickly.

She noded slightly, she was unsurprised that at least one would inquire about a home. The pack had recently lost a dear member weakening the ranks and the hearts of them all, it would do them all good to have another among them to help ease that pain. When Hazel lifted her head rayen was able to see why she had been avoiding meeting their gaze for so lon, she was blind. "Our pack welcomes all who are willing to follow our rules." She said, not bothered with the sudden realization that this wolf was disabled. In the dark female's eyes she was to be admired for survivng so long without full use of her eyes, without a pack, this silent testimant of a wolf's sheer determination and wit was what made rayen so proud to be a wolf. "You are welcome to join use Hazel, we would love to have an experienced wolf as yourself among our family." All this time rayen had not forgotten River, turning her head to look at the other new comer she inquired, "And what about you River, do you wish to join us or remain as you are?"

Hazel was overwhelmed with happiness, smiling to contain it. She simply couldn't believe what had happened, she was part of a pack at last, she breathed a deep sign of relieve feeling deeply contempt.

The scents of other wolves filled him with joy, although a pack he had not yet encountered, Dancing Stones, it seems, was the family he was looking for. Then again, these days, any pack would seem to do. His social level was in the danger zone these days with the limited amount of contact he had with others, which caused him literal mental harm. Walking slowly towards the sound of voices, he also heard the delightful sound of water which seemed to mimic his emotions at the moment. In the distance he heard the roar of fierce waves, and made a mental note to explore those later as soon as he could as long as he had a partner.
He walked along the riverbank and as he approached the voices got louder and more pronounced. One wolf was obviously speaking with more authority than the others (though they were a small number). Making sure his tail was down as to not show any threat, Finn walked pawstep by pawstep closer. He was submissive, yet had a confident gait and golden eyes that glittered in excitement even he could not hide (though he rarely tried to hide such emotions, or any emotions at all). "I apologize deeply if I am interrupting something here." Finn began, noticing there seemed to be a conversation going on at the moment. "And pardon me for my rudeness, but I will be fairly straightforward in saying that I am interested in becoming a part of your pack if you are accepting. If not, I apologize for trespassing on your territory and will leave as soon as you say the word." Pausing, he took the time to look around a little more. All the wolves present at the current time seemed to be of female gender, although Finn was quite small so he could be mistaken in his assumptions. His words were towards the wolf who showed clear dominance over the more submissive canid who she was eloquently speaking to. The intentions were clear- this other female wolf was a loner. She seemed to be an older wolf and mostly white except for some interesting brown back markings. His attention turned towards the dominant, a large and strong-looking wolf with seemingly brownish fur, though it could even be black. Finn, compared, could be even a little smaller than this wolf despite being a male.
Out of the corner of his golden eyes he saw two other wolves, one of which caught his eye. The wolf appeared to be female, but a hostile one at that. Finn wasn't aware of the awkward situation in which he put himself in, so he assumed she was naturally like that and perhaps wary of loners, which was a good trait to have in such situations. Finally, a fourth female wolf, also submissive though the dominant was not speaking to her directly. She had curious green eyes that Finn had never seen on another wolf before as well as some unique markings that combined brown, white, and grey. A curious lot of wolves. The male wolf decided after finishing his examination, yet still standing in wait to see if the female would respond to his words. He wouldn't complain though. Different was fun.

Misty turned to look at the new wolf that had just innterupted Rayen and River. "Who are you?" she repeated with the same hint of coldness, thought very small. This wolf could be a danger too, though he didn't look like one.

Hearing the question from one of the females he hadn't noticed earlier, he saw that his entrance may not have been the best one possible, but he didn't especially care for that whole shabang right now. "I am Finn, ma'am." he said politely, dipping his head towards the female wolf who now addressed him, with a humorous glint in his eye. "And I mean no harm, nor am I a threat." Finn rapidly noticed the aggressive nature of this wolf as well, along with the hint of suspicion in her voice. He was humored by the fact that they thought him big enough to cause some kind of harm to the rest of them. Perhaps in a race or an exploring contest (whatever that would be, but it appealed to Finn though he didn't really know what it was) but never in a fight!

A smile twissted her dark colored lips upward as Hazel's obvious joy shone through, she had never experienced such emotions when among her pack. No one showed joy, happiness, or kindess, all were concidered weak. But the female disagreed, happiness, joy, kindess, and love could drive a wolf to on when there seemed to be nothing left. She had seen wolves fight far beyond their physical capability not because they enjoyed killing, or were ordered to or die, but because they fought to protect something they loved, to preserve hope. Although to care could be seen as a weakness, it was also a great strength.
Rayen's head siwveled her mamga colored eyes taking in yet another wolf! It seems we are rather popular today, she silently mused, at least that fact that he is male changes the pace a little. She was amused by Misty's brave confrutnation of this new wolf, although she made a mental note to keep a close eye on her. To be a pup and challenge a grown wolf with no regard for one's obvious size disadvantage could prove faital for the out going pup. She liked how he had come right out with it, not wasting time with fancy words or attempting to dance around her in an attempt to flatter or avoid stepping on toes.
So she returned the favor, "Greatings Finn, I am Rayen leader of the Dancing Stones pack. Like I told Hazel here, we accept all who are willing to abide by our rules; yes you are welcome to join."Her ears angled toward River, to cath any sound she may make, she had yet to answer her question and so she remained attentiv of this other female even while adressing Finn.

Terry had smelled the wolves of DSP and come over to investigate, when he had gotten there he saw the wolves, it was a pack, he knew it, he had been searching for a pack to join for weeks, and this might be it. He had been hiding in the bushes, and was downwind of the pack. This is it, he thought to himself, this could be my new home, finally working up the courage, he took a deep breath and stepped out of the bushes. "Hello," he said, hoping they would accept him.
